Student Services-Counseling Office

MISSION:

The mission of the Milton Middle School student services department is to help students develop the academic, career, and personal/social skills needed for success. Our department focuses on maximizing the potential of all students, helping them to become responsible members of society.

WHO WE ARE:

The student services department is made up of a School Psychologist (Ms. Schmid) and a School Counselor (Mr. Massoglia).
Ms. Schmid and Mr. Massoglia provide service to students, parents, and families in a number of different areas:

WHAT WE DO:

The MMS Student Services department offers the following services:
Individual counseling
Small group counseling
Classroom developmental guidance activities
Career exploration
Parent assistance

The MMS Student Services department can assist students and parents in several ways:

Registration and orientation
Achievement test results
Career exploration questions
Conflict resolution with peers
Adjustment concerns

Personal concerns
Schedule changes
Low grade difficulties
Organizational or study skills problems
Scheduling parent/teacher conferences
Along with the services listed above, the student services department also continually collaborates with teaching staff, administration, and support staff at MMS to provide assistance and support to our teachers, students, parents, and families.
