Online Student Enrollment
Welcome To Our School District Family!
We are excited to welcome new 4K, Kindergarten, and other incoming students and their families to the School District of Milton.
Enrolling is fast and easy with our online new student enrollment system. Families new to the district, or those enrolling a 4K or Kindergarten student, can get started online at any time.

WHO SHOULD ENROLL?
This process is only for students who are not currently enrolled at the School District of Milton. Students that are currently enrolled do not need to enroll each year. For families who desire a more one-to-one approach, we are happy to provide that service during normal business hours. Please contact us at 608-868-9209 to schedule an appointment.
Family Enrollment Is An Easy 4-Step Process:
Step 1: Prepare
To enroll your child into our district, please have the following information available during the enrollment process:
- Valid email address – you must have this to begin the online enrollment process.
- Parent cell and work phone numbers.
- Emergency contacts: name, relationship and phone numbers.
- Doctor, Dentist, Hospital preference: name and phone numbers for doctor and dentist.
- You are able to attach a copy (in PDF format) of your child’s immunizations, custody papers, current IEP, transcript (grades 9-12 only) and proof of residency (bill, lease, recent mail).
Step 2: Sign Up For Family Access
- If you currently have an active student in the School District of Milton, you may skip this step and proceed to Step 3. If you need assistance with your Family Access account, please contact 608-868-9570.
- If you are new to the district, please provide us with a little information about you and our system will set you up with an enrollment account 24/7. You will need a valid email account. If you do not have an email address, please contact the Enrollment Office to set up an appointment to enroll your child at 608-868-9209.

Step 3: Enroll Online
- If you currently have an active student in the School District of Milton, you may access online enrollment through your Family Access account. In your family access account click on “New Student Online Enrollment”, which is on the top left hand side.
- If you are new to the district, please follow the instructions from step two that you received via email. The online enrollment process should take about 30 minutes.
Step 4: Complete Enrollment At District Office
After you have completed the online enrollment application, you will need to schedule a 15 minute appointment at our Family Enrollment Center to go over our welcome folder. Please bring the following documents with you to this appointment:
- Birth certificate &
- Any paperwork that you did not attach during online enrollment (immunizations, custody papers, IEP, transcript or proof of residency that are applicable).
The arrange a school visit for your child, please speak with our Family Enrollment Coordinator. School visits typically take 45 mintues to an hour. We ask that families please bring their child with them to this visit.
