Milton has a long storied Softball tradition. MRec has many options to chose from for all ages and levels of play!!!

ALL PK- 2ND GRADE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
GRADES ARE BASED ON THE PLAYER’S GRADE FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
T-Ball league games are played on Monday / Wednesday
Big Hitters, Pitching Machine League and Minor Leagues are played on Tuesday/Thursday
Teams will be formed in early May, Games will be played June and July
MRec will be following Milton School Districts guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19. At this time we do not know what exactly will be our guidelines that will be needed to be followed. We will know more when we get closer to the start of our season. We are including a list of items that we feel each player should have for the MRec season to help make this a safe and a enjoyable experience for everyone.

Little Hitters is an introductory league. Little Hitters is a great way to introduce your athlete to the game of baseball. Practices will be held 2 times a week in May (Monday and Wednesday). Starting the first week of June For 4 weeks (June 2nd – June 24th) practices will be on Monday nights and games on Wednesday nights all at Schilberg park. Starting the week of July 28th thru the end of the season (mid July) we will only play games each week on Monday and Wednesday nights (Total of 10 games)This league is a T-BALL ONLY LEAGUE

Big Hitters: 1st grade/2nd grade
Big Hitters is the second step in your athletes baseball/ softball journey. Big Hitters is a coach’s pitch league with an emphasis on continuing to learn the fundamentals. Practices will be held 2 times a week in May (Tuesday and Thursday). Starting the first week of June For 4 weeks (June 3rd – June 25th) practices will be on Tuesday nights and games on Thursday nights all at Schilberg park. Starting the week of July 28th thru the end of the season (mid July) we will only play games each week on Tuesday and Thursday nights (Total of 10 games)

Pitching Machine League: 1st/2nd grade
This league is designed to help players make the challenging transition from coach-pitched games to player-pitched games with the use of a pitching machine. All players who can demonstrate proper technique throwing / catching and hitting a ball should play at this level. Starting the first week of June For 4 weeks (June 3rd – June 25th) practices will be on Tuesday nights and games on Thursday nights all at Schilberg park. Starting the week of June 28th thru the end of the season (mid July) we will only play games each week on Tuesday and Thursday nights (Total of 10 games)

2nd Grade Minor Softball League: 2nd Grade
This is a new level of play for MRec softball. This league is designed to help players make the challenging transition from coach-pitched games to player-pitched games. We will play games in surrounding communities (some travel required) at this level. This league has an emphasis on developing pitchers and basic game fundamental techniques in the infield/outfield. Players also must develop a comfort level with batting against players pitching. All second grade girl players who can demonstrate proper technique throwing/hitting and catching a ball should play at this level. Parents who do not feel their child is prepared for this level or would not want to travel to surrounding cities for games would want to sign up for the pitching machine league.

MREC SUMMER SOFTBALL REGISTRATION CLOSES ON APRIL 4TH!!!!!

Mrec Junior League Softball: MRec Junior League Softball is the perfect way to get your athlete involved in the game of softball. MRec will play games in the Quad County League. Fun is still the name of the game, but here your athlete will start to learn the structure of a true game while learning the correct fundamentals of softball. Games are played Tuesday/Thursday along with some other weeknights and some weekends.

5th & 6th Grade Little League:
MRec Little League Softball: Little League steps the game up from the Junior League. MRec will play games in the Quad County League. Fun is what we want and we want to continue to learn the structure of the game of softball while learning more fundamentals for the game of softball. Games are played Tuesday/Thursday along with some other weeknights and some weekends.

7th, 8th & 9th Grade Pony League
MRec Pony league Softball: Time to take the next step. Pony League Softball offers a larger field and more of a chance to compete. MRec will play games in the Quad County League. In the pony league your athlete will continue to learn the structure of the game of softball while learning the core fundamentals of the game of softball. Games are played Tuesday/Thursday along with some other weeknights and some weekends.
