The Director of Teaching and Learning serves the district in multiple capacities, including overseeing and aligning all 4K–12 curriculum, assessment, instruction, and scope and sequence; developing and implementing professional learning for certified and support staff, including New Teacher Induction; directing Advanced Learning, Multilingual (ML), Intervention, Multi-Level Systems of Support (MLSS), and Library Media Technology programming; supervising the Teaching and Learning Coaches, Advanced Learning, Multilingual (ML), and Library Media Technology Specialists; serving as the District Assessment Coordinator, Title I Coordinator, and Educator Effectiveness Coach; monitoring all ESSA (Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV) programming; coordinating all state standardized assessments and district screening systems; supporting and providing professional learning and guidance to building administrators; serving on the District Administration Team; leading district-wide instructional initiatives, including implementation of the Strategic Plan, Wisconsin Act 20, and other teaching and learning priorities; and managing district curriculum, instructional resources, budgets, staffing, and program support.

Professional Background

Julie Musgrove has held several leadership positions in education throughout her nine years of administrative experience in the state of Wisconsin, including most recently serving as the principal at Stoner Prairie Elementary School with the Verona Area School District for the past three years.

Prior to that, Julie served as an Associate Principal at Northside Intermediate School within the School District of Milton. Julie earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
