Milton Shares
What is the Milton Shares Fund?
The School District of Milton is committed to ensuring that all students and families can participate in their school communities regardless of a family’s financial situation.
The Milton Shares Fund will be available to fulfill an immediate need during unique circumstances, and only when all other assistance programs (ie: Purposity, Shining Star, Parent Group, etc.) have been exhausted or when such programs are not sufficient or timely.
What types of things can be funded?
Families sometimes find themselves in situations where current systems do not allow for financial support when a need is imminent, often resulting in a disruption of their child’s education. In an effort to mitigate the barriers that can arise, this fund can be accessed to address a variety of needs including, but not limited to expenses for transportation, housing, medical/mental health care, school-related expenses, or other short-term, intermittent assistance.
How can individuals donate to this fund?
Donations can be made through our District’s payment portal, RevTrak.
Donations can be made to the general fund, or supporters may designate donations toward a specific school, program, or purpose using the comments section on the donation form.
Who approves funding requests?
All requests for funding are initially reviewed and vetted by a school administrator and one of our school social workers. This documentation will go to the Director of Student Services for final approval.
