School Board Approves  

Facilities Advisory Community Team (FACT)

The School District of Milton's Board of Education approved the use of a 22 member self-nominated, self-selected group of community members to help it address district instructional and facilities needs.  The team began meeting on Wed. March 16, 2016, with all meetings open to the public.

Board Postpones Facilities Referendum

At their regularly scheduled meeting on 1/25/2016, the Board of Education voted 7-0 to postpone a facilities referendum and send the instructional and facility needs discussion back to the Board's Strategic Planning Committee.   Several community members spoke at the meeting, indicating that the proposed $45 million dollar plan did not adequately address all of the district's instructional and facility needs.  To read a prepared statement from Board President Jon Cruzan on the Board's decision to postpone the referendum, click on the link below.

Board Of Education Continues To Seek Community Input: 
Sends Additional Surveys And Extends Deadline To 12/14/15

The School District of Milton's Board of Education and District Administrator Tim Schigur are continuing to seek community input as they assess the district's instructional and facility needs.  Additional community surveys are being printed and will be distributed to mail routes that were missed in the 53563 zip code during our first every door direct mail attempt during the week of Dec. 7th.  The survey will remain open through Monday, Dec. 14th, 2015.  For those who would like a copy of the survey or an access code to take the survey online can obtain one by contacting Communications Supervisor Jerry Schuetz at 608-868-9222 or via e-mail at schuetzj@milton.k12.wi.us. 

Public Meeting On Wednesday, Dec. 16th, 2015

The public is also invited to a public meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at District Office, located at 448 E. High St. in the City of Milton.  The meetings purpose is to discuss the results of our on-going instructional and facility needs assessment, including public input received from our recent community survey.  School Perceptions will be sharing the results of the survey with the Board's Strategic Planning Committee.  Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
