At approximately 12:55 p.m., we were notified by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office that an inmate had escaped from the Rock County Jail and that we should consider going into a non-emergency lockdown of the school as a precautionary measure.  We immediately followed their recommendation, and students continued on with their learning in the state of a non-emergency lockdown for the remainder of the school day. As a reminder, a non-emergency lockdown consists of no outdoor recess and the classroom doors stay closed.  Bathroom breaks and hallway transports are supervised. Other than those changes, the school day continued on as normal. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office will be providing additional police presence near Consolidated at dismissal time.  Students bussed will be delivered directly to their home.  Before and after school care will continue as normally scheduled today, with all activities taking place inside unless or until the situation is resolved.
