Join the movement of parents who help their children and staff at Milton West Elementary School succeed proactively with teachers and district staff. Our coalition of parents is dedicated to showing others how to be a voice for their children through support, advocating for change, fundraising, volunteering and sharing resources that ensures every decision made is student focused. Here is how you can help!
ADVOCATE: PAWS has volunteered to be in a role that empowers students and their families, educators, and community members by advocating for policies that will help prepare our students for the best education and safe schools the Milton School District is able to provide for them. We invite you to join our PAWS voice on behalf of other Milton West Elementary parents and their children and help them access the right channels of communication to ignite proactive change.
FUNDRAISE: PAWS is proud to provide the framework to plan, drive, and deliver several fundraising initiatives through the school year. Families and students are asked to fundraise through various events and money-driving activities to help purchase materials and equipment to better Milton West School. PAWS fundraising is known for helping provide the dollars needed for educational field trips, guest speakers, classroom supplies as well as outdoor equipment for our students and community to enjoy. Any individual or business in the Milton community can contribute to a PAWS fundraiser and parent volunteers with abilities to build donor relations and access to in-kind gifts are welcomed.
VOLUNTEER: PAWS is excited to host several social events for Milton West Elementary students and their families, as well as school staff, throughout the year. Some notable events include monthly REC and Activity Nights, a Kids Bop, Winter Wonderland and Movie Nights. Volunteers can help fill a 30 minute slot to supervise game, activity, food and play areas, or help offer ideas to the PAWS team to create new events!
MEET PARENTS & SHARE RESOURCES: All Milton West parents are invited to contribute their time and talent by joining PAWS as a committee member, volunteer, event helper, fundraiser or just by sharing our messages and news using personal social networks and by supporting the PAWS mission in any way they are able. Parents can often network with others and build relationships to help foster good will within the school.

JOIN A MEETING: We welcome and encourage any families with students at West to join us during our monthly meetings held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Milton West Library. Child care if provided at this time. We understand as parents of young children that you may not be able to attend every meeting or volunteer for every event, we ask that parents join us but please do so to the extent that your schedule allows. Our meeting schedule for the school year of 2017/18 is as follows, October 10th, November 7th, December 12th, January 9th, February 13th, March 13th, April 10th, May 8th.
